Mapping and Presenting Security Guard Patrols in Real-time

The Challenge

Situated in Kalumbila, Zambia, FQM Trident Limited sought a refined system for enhanced oversight, storage, and analysis of patrol data executed by their security personnel. The guards follow varying routes during shifts to safeguard specific critical assets.

The Solution

• A monitoring solution was developed on a mobile app.
• The app includes an individual sign-in and enabled the guard to “tag” in at predetermined checkpoints.
• A custom function was implemented to constrain guards from submitting checkpoint verifications if they were not closer than 5m to a known checkpoint.
• A Dashboard was developed with real-time updates of guard activity.
